This 1st grade word search is a fun way to give your little learner some extra reading practice without making it feel like another school assignment! First grade is such an exciting time because kids are starting to recognize more words and become a little more confident with their reading.
I love the idea of turning that practice into something they actually look forward to doing!
With this word search, kids can hunt for familiar words, circle the ones they find, and feel proud each time they cross another word off the list. And we all know how exciting it can be when they spot a word before we do!
It's a great activity for the classroom, homeschool lessons, or those afternoons when you need something fun that doesn't involve a screen.
Just print a copy, grab some crayons or a pencil, and let the word hunting begin!
