Cozy Mystery TBR Goals & Reading Plans

Cozy Mystery TBR Goals

If you love cozy mysteries, you probably also love making lists, stacking books, and planning what to read next. This page is where I keep all of my cozy mystery TBR goals and reading plans in one place.

From big yearly reading goals to monthly TBR lists and seasonal reading plans, this hub is your starting point for exploring what I want to read, not just what I’ve already finished. If you enjoy reading along, building your own TBR, or simply browsing cozy titles by mood and season, you’re in exactly the right place.

What Is a Cozy Mystery TBR?

TBR stands for “To Be Read” — a list of books I plan (or hope!) to read soon.

My cozy mystery TBR is:

  • A mix of new releases and backlist favorites
  • A blend of seasonal reads (fall, Christmas, winter, spring, summer)
  • A way to track which series I want to start, continue, or finally finish
  • Flexible and fun — never a strict rulebook

I treat my TBR as a cozy guide, not homework. Plans can change, moods can shift, and that’s part of the fun.

How This TBR Hub Works

This page is the home base for all my reading plans.

From here, you’ll be able to click through to:

  • Yearly Cozy Mystery TBR Goals
→ Big-picture plans for the whole year
  • Monthly Cozy TBR Lists
→ More detailed “this month I’d like to read…” posts
  • Seasonal or Special TBRs
→ like fall-only cozies, Christmas marathons, or specific challenges

As I create new TBR pages, I’ll link them here so you can easily follow along or pick and choose ideas for your own reading.

Cozy Mystery TBR Goals

Yearly Cozy Mystery TBR Goals

At the beginning of each year, I (try to) create a yearly cozy mystery TBR that acts like a gentle reading roadmap. It usually includes:

  • A rough total number of cozies I’d love to read for each month
  • Series I want to start
  • Series I want to catch up on or finish
  • Seasonal reading plans (fall cozies, Christmas cozies, etc.)
  • A few “stretch” goals, like trying new subgenres or new-to-me authors

👉 This is where you’ll find links to those pages, for example:

Each yearly TBR is flexible. I don’t expect to follow it perfectly — it’s more like a cozy wish list and a place to gather ideas.

Monthly Cozy TBR Lists

While yearly TBRs give me the big picture, monthly TBRs help me match reads to my mood and the season.

Each month, I put together a list of 10–12 cozy mysteries I’d like to read. These often include:

  • Seasonal reads (winter, spring, summer, or fall)
  • At least one animal sidekick cozy
  • A foodie or bakery cozy
  • A bookish cozy (bookshop or library)
  • One or two new releases I’m excited about
  • One cozy that’s a little outside my comfort zone

From this hub, you’ll be able to click to each month’s list, such as:

  • January 2026 Cozy Mystery TBR
  • February 2026 Cozy Mystery TBR
  • March 2026 Cozy Mystery TBR

…and so on as the months go by.

Monthly TBRs work beautifully with my monthly wrap-ups and rankings. You’ll be able to see what I planned to read and then later what I actually did read and how I ranked each book.

Seasonal & Special TBR Challenges

As my Cozy Corner grows, I’ll also be adding seasonal and themed TBRs, such as:

  • Fall Cozy Mystery TBR (pumpkins, festivals, autumn vibes)
  • Christmas Cozy Mystery TBR (snow, lights, bakeries, tree farms)
  • Winter Cozy Nights TBR (snowstorms, cabins, lodge mysteries)
  • Spring Garden & Tea Shop TBR (flowers, herbs, tearooms)
  • Summer Beach & Vacation TBR (lighthouses, seaside towns, ice cream shops)

These special TBRs are fun, focused lists you can use for:

  • Seasonal reading marathons
  • Personal challenges
  • Mood-based reading (like “all bakery cozies for a month”)

As I create them, I’ll link them here so you can explore by season or theme.

How to Use My Cozy Mystery
TBR Goals Pages

You can use this TBR hub in whatever way fits your reading style:

  • Read along with my monthly or yearly TBR
  • Build your own list using mine as inspiration
  • Save ideas for later by pinning or bookmarking pages
  • Browse by mood — looking specifically for winter reads, animal cozies, Southern cozies, foodie cozies, and more
  • Track series you want to start or continue

Think of this page as a cozy reading menu: you don’t have to order everything, but it’s fun to see what’s available.

TBR vs. Wrap-Ups vs. Reviews

Here’s how everything fits together inside the Cozy Mystery Corner:

  • TBR Goals (this hub + yearly + monthly)
→ What I plan or hope to read
  • Monthly Wrap-Ups & Rankings
→ What I actually read and how I felt about the books
  • Cozy Mystery Reviews (A–Z)
→ In-depth, spoiler-free thoughts on individual books or series

You can start at any point that interests you:

  • Curious what I’m planning? Browse the TBR pages.
  • Want to know what I loved most? Check the monthly rankings.
  • Want detailed opinions? Visit the review pages.
