My rankings are based on the cozy experience — not just the mystery itself. I pay attention to things cozy readers actually care about, like:

• Is the sleuth funny, relatable, or refreshingly unique?
• Does the small-town setting feel warm and welcoming?
• Are the side characters memorable and lively?
• Is the mystery engaging without being stressful?
• Is the pacing gentle and charming, or fast with lots of clues?
• Does the book deliver the cozy mood it promises (seasonal, foodie, bookish, etc.)?

No spoilers — just the cozy “feel” and whether the book is a great match for your reading mood.
