This gratitude word search is a simple way to get kids thinking about thankfulness, kindness, and all those everyday things that are easy to overlook. I like the idea of using a puzzle as a starting point for gratitude because there’s no pressure to come up with a long list or write a paragraph. Sometimes one little word is enough to get the conversation going.
As kids search through the letters, they’ll find positive words connected to being grateful and appreciating the people and things around them. You can even pause after the puzzle and ask which word means the most to them or what they’re especially thankful for that day.
This printable works beautifully around Thanksgiving, but I wouldn’t save it just for November. Use it during a kindness lesson, classroom quiet time, homeschool activity, or family discussion. Add some colored pencils or markers, and kids can make their finished puzzle a little more personal, too.
