5th Grade Word Search

This 5th grade word search gives older kids a puzzle that’s a little more challenging without taking away the fun of hunting for hidden words. By fifth grade, kids are ready for longer vocabulary and words that might take more than a quick glance to spot, so I wanted this puzzle to make them look a little closer.

As they search through the letters, kids can practice spelling, vocabulary, concentration, and visual scanning skills. And we all know how it goes with word searches—you find almost every word quickly, and then there’s that one stubborn word that seems determined to stay hidden!

This printable is an easy one to keep around for morning work, early finishers, homeschool practice, classroom centers, or a quiet activity at home. It gives kids something enjoyable to work on independently while still sneaking in a little learning. Grab a pencil, start searching, and see how quickly they can find them all!
